Not only do I love to write my own stories, I've had some fun and success doing little writing jobs for others, over the years. It's an interesting perspective, trying to put someone else's words and thoughts into a form that expresses who they are, in a way they may not be capable of themselves. Expression of self is important to me, but I also know how lucky I am, that I have a natural ability to do that in an entertaining and informative way. So I really enjoy helping others accomplish that.

In my ARG (Alternative Reality Game) days, I also wrote quite a bit of material for a few games I was involved in. When I played Aware, I wrote articles for a site that we created, to pass disinformation to a rival team. And in Aware 2, when I took my turn as a puppetmaster, I wrote newspaper articles for the pre-game, letters from some of the characters, and various other things, including a very thorough recap of the first Aware game, from new players. I also did a lot of character writing (mostly emails) for another ARG I was a puppetmaster on, Tranquil Valley, between those two.

There are other things I really enjoy doing, that I got to explore in my ARG days, though it didn't start there. One of which is, voice over work. A few years back, a gentleman on IRC asked me to write a little rhyme for him, to make into a voice over for an animation project he was working on. Not only did I write it, I ended up recording and mixing it for him too. It was creepy and cool. :) I also recorded a handful of radio spots, interviews, and even a 'tape' of a woman who'd been kidnapped (which was laced with audio clues to her location) for the Aware 2 pregame. It was a great and enlightening experience.

So, this part of the site will be to show some of that work (as I dig it up), and to hawk my wares, so to speak. :) I'm always looking for new projects, and I'd love to hear from anyone looking for a writer or voice actor. It doesn't have to be paying gigs either. The work in ARGs (and the help I gave the animation guy), was fulfilling and fun experience, but it certainly didn't bring an income. I love to expand my repertoire, in any way shape or form.
